Start to Finish complete guide

This eBook is for

Authors and self-publishers, who want to do their own eBook layout and not pay someone for design, yet are serious about their brand and the quality of product they put out there.

What you will learn

You will learn how to produce a quality professional looking eBook in PDF format. A book you can be proud to attach your name to and customers will feel confident in purchasing. Learn how to start thinking like a graphic designer. You will learn some good design principles and layout skills. You will also learn the power of Adobe Acrobat’s software and turn your eBook into a masterpiece of functionality. Some steps taken in the layout guidelines here will also benefit you if later on you wish to convert your Word file to an ePub.

What you will not learn

This course will not teach you how to use MS Word or Adobe Acrobat, only how to make the best use of the features already included in the software. You should have a basic knowledge of how MS Word works. You will NOT learn how to layout/export books for ePub or Mobi or any other formats.

Unfortunately I also cannot explain each step in my guide for each different version of Word out there. Where there are glaringly troublesome steps, I will go over them, just know that your version of Word may differ from mine. I am unfortunate enough to work in Word 2008, which in my opinion is the most lacking of all of them. So if you have 2007, or any later version, your life should be easier. I also work on Apple Mac, but for PC the differences are small.
